Playtech, a global supplier of games and technology for online casinos, announced the completion of the first phase of its strategic partnership with Hard Rock Digital, the interactive gaming and sports betting division of Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming.
The partnership was initially announced in March 2023, when Playtech revealed that it had agreed to pay $85 million for a single-digit stake in Hard Rock Digital. The purchase was part of a larger deal between the two sides, one that included Hard Rock Digital’s right to license a range of technology solutions and iGaming content to Playtech.
Since that announcement, Playtech has been able to offer a full range of games through New Jersey-based Hard Rock Bet, a brand owned by Hard Rock Digital. Among the content offered, we can find RNG slots, table games and live dealer games as well. Furthermore, Playtech has developed several table games specifically for Hard Rock Bet, which are the operator’s branded games.
Hard Rock Digital has also licensed the technology solutions and iGaming content provided by Playtech, allowing customers to enjoy a wide range of entertaining and exciting casino games. This was true for the operator’s customers in New Jersey, but also any future Hard Rock Bet iCasino markets in North America that will have access to Playtech content.
A custom blackjack table has been released
The announcement also revealed that the collaboration between the two sides has led to the release of the custom blackjack table and that more such products will follow, “We offer hard rock players a personalized experience.” The two parties also emphasized that this represents “Just the beginning of a series of custom developments” This will be done because of this partnership.
Hard Rock Digital currently offers online and retail sports betting in Arizona, Florida, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee and Virginia, while retail sports betting with an integrated online sports betting and casino experience is only available in New Jersey. The operator plans to launch its brand in more US states in the future and expand into other international markets in the coming years.
